One of the weirder things I've ever been paid to do: I have a client where the most useful thing I do is meet them every two weeks for two hours, and let the manager and the peon work out out where the bottlenecks in the process are. I try to just ask questions, make the occasional suggestion. The peon needs a lot more direction than she's been getting, I don't think she knows how to say No. I am so glad I took that Systems Analysis class back in Library School: the whole thing is classic.
In other news: if my family would eat cheese, yogurt, or sour cream, my life would be easier. Husband will not eat dairy except lactose-free milk and pizza cheese, or eggs. Teenboy will eat pretty much anything that's not seafood. Girlchild is ridiculously picky, though she'll eat Dubliner cheese and various yogurts. They all like meat. No wonder trying to make dinner is so damn fraught!
