Happy Birthday [info]telesilla and azrhiaz ! (I know you didn't want wank for your birthday but you got it anyway.)
In happy fanfic news:

Establishment!Billy's story arc is finished: he started a vanilla straight bloke who had cheerful sex with any pretty woman he could pull, but was quite scandalized by Est!Dom/Elijah's kinky ways (but supportive!). Now he's married to Rachel Weisz (written by ripsgirl), who has broadened his horizons enough to have tried exhibitionism, erotic photography, bondage, fisting and anal sex. And now, they're going to experiment with something long-term and absorbing: parenthood. But we're not writing it -- domesticity is really hard -- so that's our ending to their story. Links are at the Billy/Rachel story list.

I love writing with ripsgirl and am glad we have push-pull-push to play in. We have a new story, in which Billy's tired but Dom's horny, and imaginative. Pretty much PWP with mild bondage, and an unusual configuration: Turnabout (NC-17)

LJ statistics and migration tools

LJ user stats in graphic form indicate that while the number of accounts created continues to skyrocket, the absolute numbers of accounts which are updated within the last 30 days / 7 days / 1 day are flat or actually going down. My theory is that LJ is losing out to MySpace and Facebook, and that venture capitalists and potential purchasers are good at statistics too...

Mac (and Linux) migration tool handles comments as well as posts.

How to install newer LJ journal layouts on other services. I'm using Smooth Sailing on GJ and it's lovely, so many thanks to musycal_test!

The skunkworks of migration - things to save, icon keywords, co-moderators, and more.

And a fake LJ User tag generator: a generic HTML version of the user tag, so it it works across all journals, thanks to mhari

Wired magazine calls for open standards for social networking. This would allow us to have "friends" outside our networking system, so we could watch and/or share even locked posts.

I haven't said this in much too long, but I loved the Billy/Rachel storyline so much. Just watching how they both developed as a couple and as individuals was so great.

Thank you! *dances a little* I liked the tension between them, and the way they kept working through it. Something other than the normal fanfic, I hope.
