FIC: Ian's Eyebrow (Ian, Billy, G)

Title: Ian's Eyebrow (drabble)
Fandom: LOTR RPS
Pairing: Ian, implied Billy/Viggo
Rating: G
Feedback: yes, please!
Disclaimer: not true, I made it up
Archive: only if you notify me
Notes: Takes place in my BillyViggoverse, and and addresses the question of why isn't this-verse Billy out of the closet? Thanks to kaydeefalls for the nudge to write every day (even if this isn't 500 words) and to nienor_niniel for a quick lookover.

Ian's Eyebrow

Ian doesn't seem surprised to bump into Billy on a Sunday morning. He merely gives a wave, saying, "walk with me."

With a nod at the minister, Billy swings into step with Ian.

"Presbyterian, I presume?" Ian asks.

Billy laughs, "Yeah, I go for my sister, though she'd find this parish very liberal."

Ian's eyebrow has more eloquence than most actors' whole faces.

Billy answers it, "She goes to Gran's kirk, where the minister's fifty years out of date."

"That's the best reason I've heard yet," Ian's mellow voice says, "to stay in the closet."

Billy nearly sags with relief.

Thank you! I tried writing it out as a long scene but it got all wordy. This worked better.

Nice! It's a completely plausible explanation very neatly and obliquely expressed. And Ian and Billy! So cute, because Billy would never duck out when asked to "walk with me".*g*

Thank you! I knew why for a long time but couldn't figure out how to say it without sounding trite.

This is the first piece of lotrips I've read in something like four years. It was the right thing to read. :) Simple and completely the opposite of trite. Lovely.

Wow, thank you so much! I'm not a natural drabble-writer but the spareness of the form is good for me. And this series makes me all gooey.

Thank you very much, I may actually manage to finish the backstory, which is half-wrote right now.
